🌟2nd in Barbury CCI4*-SπŸŽ‰πŸΎ
So proud of Charly who has been incredible at Barbury. To lead the dressage for the first time at this level in a senior class was a fantastic feeling and a huge achievement for us in itself. Tracy, Judy and Pippa have all played a huge role in helping us towards our score of 23.8 and I’m so glad we were able to go out and do them justice in the dressage. He show jumped fantastic but unfortunately just tripped on the way down to an oxer meaning we ended up too close, so just rolled one pole but for Charly to then go on and do a great clear around a tough cross country course I was so relieved! It really does just go to show how forgiving he is after what happened with my saddle at Bramham only a few weeks ago. My main aim (placing aside) was to have a confident ride and finish with Charly feeling happy and ready for our next event. We were just pipped to the post by the King of Barbury after a few time faults picked up on the cross country but still very proud to have come 2nd to Andrew and achieve our career best result. Charly has finished 7th, 6th, 5th, 3rd and 2nd at 4* now!
Thank you to Pip who once again has been there to support me this weekend, I can’t begin to say how much it helps me knowing I can always turn to someone with so much experience in the sport ❀️
Finally I have to say a huge thank you to Fabien Coulon at CWD. Fabien has worked so hard to support Charly and I with the best kit going forwards and riding in my new jumping tack this weekend I felt so so lucky, CWD tack is simply beautiful... and you will all be pleased to hear my saddle didn’t move XC. For Fabien to have put his faith in such a young rider in the sport means the world and I am so delighted we were able to pull off this result for him and all of CWD. I am incredibly privileged to have them as part of my team.
